The program began with one route of 6 clients. Within two months a third route was established. In 1971 the first Plymouth route was established, and in 1978 the program was expanded to include Kohler, Sheboygan Falls and Elkhart Lake. Today we have 22 routes serving Sheboygan, Kohler, Sheboygan Falls and Howards Grove; 3 routes serving Plymouth, 1 route that serves Elkhart Lake, Crystal Lake and Glenbeulah; and one County route that delivers to rural addresses on Wednesdays. The major funding sources for Meals On Wheels are The Sheboygan and Plymouth Area United Way, The Sheboygan Falls United Way and The Sheboygan County Festival of Trees annual fundraising event.
